During a discussion about new custom product I remember one lady from the customer’s representatives pointing her index finger at her coffee cup and saying: “I need to know what I am buying – like this coffee. Its size, brand, flavour and price”. Our colleague reacted to the comment: “Is it really coffee that you need? What is the business objective? To get refreshed? Then we might find cheaper and healthier solutions. Like using guarana instead of coffee, more frequent breaks or just simply opening a window.” This example opened the lady’s eyes and enabled us to continue further.
